The Universe Is a Giant Recording Machine

Today is Friday, July 12, 2013.

YOUR ATTENTION PLEASE... This is the Universe speaking.  Today I will be recording your EVERY thought and emotion... no matter how "good" or "bad", no matter how generous or stingy, and no matter how helpful or hurtful they may be.  AND EVERYTHING I record will be played back FOR YOU as soon as possible, as some type of physical manifestation in time and space.   Thank you.  That is all.

This is one of the best ways I've ever seen to describe and to some extent explain how the universe works.  We really do live in a giant feedback loop that acts like a  tape recorder or video recorder.  These days, many of us are familiar with the fact that our words and actions have consequences, but we forget that our thoughts and emotions have consequences, as well.  It's hard, sometimes, to get our minds around how this works, so the imagery of a giant recorder is a useful one.

When the Creator fashioned this physical universe of ours, all IT had to do was establish this feedback loop as a learning device for Soul.  Once human beings had the luxury of being able to sit down and do some thinking, they began to wonder why the world wasn't "perfect," why God would allow pain and suffering in the world, why all God's children weren't beautiful and healthy, happy and carefree.

It's the feedback loop, pure and simple.

When we project fear and anger into the universe, Creation responds exactly as it was programmed to, replaying our thoughts and emotions back to us in some form or other.  We're supposed to learn from this experience, but the trick is that it takes many, many lifetimes for Soul to get to the point where It will wake up and realize what is going on. Until we wake up, we think we are being tested and punished by an angry God, or that we are experiencing our "fate."  We imagine that we "deserve" whatever suffering we are currently experiencing because we are unworthy, somehow.

Nothing could be farther from the truth.  This feedback loop we live in is completely mechanical in nature, and it works ceaselessly and flawlessly, by design.  There is no intent to punish. The feedback loop exists in order to allow us to learn to be who we truly are as Soul, creators in our own right.  We are, after all, children of God, and God is a Creator.

When things go wrong, we must simply realize that we made a recording at some time in our past (in this lifetime or an earlier one), and it is now being played back to us.  We are being given the opportunity to experience our thoughts and emotions from the past in the form of physical experience.  In the process of dealing with all our problems, we acquire all kinds of qualities.  We become stronger and more resilient, more patient, more sensitive to the needs of others, more humble and less arrogant.  We learn to discriminate and to keep our promises.  We learn to work cooperatively with others.  We learn to appreciate and value altruistic behavior above self-serving behavior.  We learn to take responsibility for ourselves and others.  We become more capable problem-solvers.  It's worth noting that we think more about asking for help from God when we are having problems than when everything is humming along perfectly.

How can we get the recording to stop?  We can't.  But we can accept our responsibility for making negative recordings with our thoughts and emotions, and we can learn to create beautiful and harmonious recordings.   :-)

Hello,

I subscribe to the theory that the Universe records everything indeed! for instance, through telescopes, we can see objects in the universe as they were billions of years ago. Furthermore, satellites in space have recorded the echo of the big bang by looking (with increasing accuracy) at the cosmic microwave background radiation which greatly support the theory of the big bang theory as one possible origin of the universe.

What I fail to understand is your conjecture that this recording has a 'feedback loop'. I have yet to see scientific, holistic, or artistic evidence that suggest this.

I would like to volunteer that I am agnostic. I someone who needs proof. That being said, I must also confess that recently, I have come across many documents that actually offer evidence that in ancient times, 5000 years ago or so (when pyramids were being erected worldwide), the ancients could very well have been more advanced than we are today and may not only have had the key to the ways of ascending, but understood that the Universe was recording everything.

Of course, in order to see this, I need to look through the lens of ancient times by putting a hold on how I see the world and the universe today.

In those times, the people lived in a matriarchal society where women and men were on equal footing i.e. women were as important as men.

The people of those times left behind clues throughout the world, clues that now leads to evidence that they had a deep connection with the natural world.

Somehow, in the patriarchal society of today, where women are unfortunately being forced into taking the back seat, we have lost that connection.

This is why I was very glad to read your piece about the universe being a recording entity. That I still do not see the feedback loop thing may just be that I am a man.

Perhaps the ancients understood your concept!

Sorry for the double post! I made some correction to the first one which you can remove as well as this comment. Thanks.
